At DBIS, we believe that some of the most powerful learning experiences happen beyond the classroom. Our Expeditions & Trips programme is designed to inspire curiosity, develop resilience and foster a global perspective by immersing students in real-world learning experiences.
For our Primary students, we offer a variety of local and overseas trips that provide enriching, hands-on learning experiences:
Local Excursions – Younger students explore Hong Kong’s diverse environments, from cultural landmarks and museums to nature reserves and science centres, making meaningful connections to their curriculum.
Overseas Expeditions – Our upper Primary students have the exciting opportunity to travel to nearby regions in China, where they experience new cultures, develop independence, and engage in immersive learning activities tailored to their age group.
In Secondary, the highlight of our experiential learning programme is Week Without Walls, which challenges students to step outside their comfort zones, engage with new cultures and develop leadership and teamwork skills. Whether trekking through breathtaking landscapes, participating in service projects or exploring innovative industries, students gain invaluable life experiences while forging lasting connections with their peers.
Through these experiences, students develop confidence, cultural awareness and a deeper understanding of the world around them. Expeditions at DBIS are more than just trips – they are transformative journeys that shape our students into curious, compassionate and globally-minded individuals.
