THE FOBISIA FRIENDLY GAMES are competitions encompassing both individual activities and team sports, including track and field athletics, swimming, basketball and football. They have a long-standing reputation for being the most popular events in the FOBISIA calendar, offering students a fantastic opportunity to compete at the highest levels but, at the same time, form global friendships with their peers throughout the region.
The selection of students will be based on various criteria to ensure that we have the best representatives for our school.
Students who display excellent behaviour and engagement in school and their communities will be considered for selection.
Academic achievement in Physical Education will also play a significant role, with a focus on students who have performed above expected levels in core PE lessons.
Performance in team sports such as football and basketball will be taken into account, whether it be in out-of-school competitions or in the IFFHK competitions. Additionally, performances in school sports days and Secondary swim meets will be considered when selecting students for the FOBISIA Games.
We believe that this selection policy will help us choose the most deserving and capable students to represent our school at the FOBISIA Games. Thank you for your understanding and support.
All specific team information will be shared via the FOBISIA Google Classroom.
For training, students must attend the Secondary football/basketball ECA and ONE swim session per week.
In addition to this, we have set up a basketball coaching session with Coach Joe on Thursdays: 3.30pm – 5pm at DBIS.
