Dance & Movement
Dance and Movement Club is a fun and enriching programme for our young learners. The club focuses on pure movement and creativity. Each session begins with warming up and stretching, followed by rhythmic activities such as tapping, shaking and grooving to the beat. Children also learn short, fun, choreographed routines, which help develop their coordination and memory. Our favourite part is the free dance exploration, allowing the children to express themselves through their own unique movements.

The ECA supports students in becoming Balanced Individuals by focusing on physical well-being through routines that enhance coordination, memory, and rhythm. Singing
Exposure to music in the early years of development is crucial. Simple songs expose children to patterns and counting in mathematics and teach rhyming skills for reading in literacy. Singing also helps children enhance vocabulary and has benefits for speech and language development. Each week the children will have fun engaging in voice sound activities, singing warm-ups and learning new songs to add to their repertoire.

Super Scientists ECA is a great introduction to problem-solving in Science Technology Engineering and Maths, known as "STEAM" subjects. In this ECA, students will have the opportunity to learn through hands-on challenges exploring the world around them. Students work towards a certificate from the British Science Association and investigate a range of practical science based challenges.

Bring your imagination to life one frame at a time! In this ECA, students will step into the shoes of a director to create their own animated shorts. Using Chromebooks and various materials; from clay to LEGO or everyday objects; students will learn the full production process: brainstorming original concepts, sketching storyboards, and mastering the patience and precision of stop-motion filming. It’s the perfect blend of hands-on crafting and digital storytelling.

Join the DBIS Concert Band, an exciting extracurricular ensemble for talented instrumentalists! Rehearsing on Wednesdays, we explore a diverse repertoire from classical to film music. The nature of chamber choir supports student growth and development. Students will learn to gain confidence with their communication as they learn to work as a team often navigating the balance of personal voice and harmony. Music is naturally creative, thus, students will be able to explore their creative interpretations of a score and the creativity of the music itself.
